On February 17th, 2018, a 19 year old former student walked into the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and went on a murderous rampage. He killed 17 people and injured 17 others that day in the Miami, FL suburb of Parkland, FL. On December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, a 20-year-old shot and murdered 26 people. Twenty of the victims were children between six and seven years old, and the other six were adult staff members.
